The Veterans Advocate will:

• Help veterans seeking state employment for the first time with filling out the state application.
• Transfer military MOS over to civilian terms.
• Consult with veterans on job opportunities within state government.
• Consult with Personnel Cabinet counselors as to veteran's job skills and time in position.
• Coordinate testing time for veterans.
• Ensure qualified veterans receive veteran's preference points for testing.
• Help find lost military records.
• Refer veteran to Veterans Benefits Area Field Representative for benefits counseling.
