To provide opportunities for students to experience the benefits of diversity within state government.

The 11th Annual Governor's Diversity Day
The 11th Annual Governor’s Diversity Day will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Frankfort Convention Center from 9:45 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. “MY DIVERSITY: IT’S MY CHOICE!” is the theme for this year, as youth participants will be challenged to personally make the decision to embrace and appreciate the vast differences of our world.
Students from registered middle and high schools will be engaged in several morning workshops; each affording them the opportunity to be enlightened by diversity of experience, culture, music, thought, and language. We will also announce the winners of the 2ND Annual Diversity Day Student Essay Contest. Following the morning workshops will be an afternoon career and educational exhibit fair. At each booth, students will have the opportunity to learn about the diversity which flows throughout state government agencies and universities, by conversing and interacting with representatives. In addition, legislators from various districts have been invited to greet and speak with students.
If you are interested in joining us, please have your school representative contact our office by at (502) 564-8000, or complete the on-line registration form and fax it to (502) 564-7603 by March 7, 2008. Space is limited, so please register your school today. All school representatives will receive an email confirmation, once your registration has been processed.
